Internships
WHAT internships are for individuals who desire a challenging practical experience in the real world, and for those who are willing to devote their full energies to the internship.
The internships are full-time positions. After an initial orientation period, interns can expect that they will assume staff level responsibilities under the direct supervision of a full-time department head.
Experience
Interns can expect to work within their areas of interest: design, construction, development and marketing.
Finances:
WHAT provides housing for its full-time, out-of-town interns. There is also a stipend provided by the theater.
Duration:
Most internships begin in late May and extend through August. A limited number of internships are available during the rest of the year.
Travel
Travel expense to and from WHAT is the responsibility of the intern.
